On February 8, the 2nd round of the election for President of the Republic 2026-01-20 26 will be held.

Voting takes place on February 8, nationwide, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Abroad, voting takes place on February 7 and 8, at locations defined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Registration for Early Voting for Hospitalized Patients takes place from January 20 to 29 on the Early Voting Portal.

Registration for Early Voting for Prisoners takes place from January 20 to 29 on the Early Voting Portal.

If you are registered to vote in Portugal and are temporarily abroad for reasons provided for by law, you can vote early between January 27 and 29 at diplomatic missions designated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Registrations for Early Voting on the move take place from January 25 to 29 on the Early Voting Portal. Voting takes place on February 1.

Check the voting location and section where you will vote on election day on the Voter Registration Portal at www.recenseamento.pt.
